PSG coach Luis Enrique has insisted that the team will approach tonight’s Champions League game against Newcastle like a cup final.
Recall that both teams need a result to keep their round 16 hopes alive.
The reigning French champions suffered a humiliating 4-1 defeat on Tyneside when these sides last met in the Champions League back in October, falling victim to the firestorm that is St. James’ Park.
However, PSG will fancy themselves on their own patch as they welcome an injury-hit Newcastle United for the reverse fixture in midweek, knowing a win could see them leapfrog Borussia Dortmund into first place in Group F.

However, Enrique in a chat with TribalFootball said, “Parc des Princes will carry us. I expect a really good atmosphere.
“We need our fans. We need an even more passionate stadium than usual.
“We will play this match as if it were a final. At this level, the home games are the key.
“If you saw their game against Chelsea, they still have the physicality with them. We know that will also be the case tomorrow and we have to be ready.”
