Nigeria forward Emmanuel Dennis scored the winning goal as Belgian side, Club Brugge secured a place in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League following a 2-1 home win against LASK of Austria, reports Completesports. com.
Club Brugge sealed their passage 3-1 on aggregate having won the first leg 1-0.
Dennis, took the place of his international teammate, David Okereke in the 88th minute and hit the back of the net a minute later.
It was Dennis’ first goal of the competition for Club Brugge this season.
Yusuf Odubanjo also featured for LASK in the encounter. He replaced James Holland a minute from time.
At the Sinobo Stadium, Peter Olayinka was in action for 90 minutes in Slavia Prague’s 1-0 home win against Romania’s CFR Cluj.
Slavia Prague progressed 2-0 on aggregate.
