Nigerian-born striker Chukwubuike Adamu was on target but a late Kingsley Coman strike denied Red Bull Salzburg a famous victory against Bayern Munich draw in their Champions League first-leg round of 16 tie.
Adamu, who replaced another Nigerian Noah Okafor, beautifully curled in the opener for Salzburg on 21 minutes.
Salzburg looked like they could hold out for more than 70 minutes to seal a first-leg victory.

But Bayern made their dominance count when Coman levelled in the 90th minute to make honours even ahead of the second-leg at the Allianz Arena.
Former Golden Eaglets midfielder Samson Tijani was on the bench for Salzburg.
And at the San Siro, goals from Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah earned Liverpool a 2-0 win over Inter Milan to put the Reds in complete control of their Champions League tie.
Jurgen Klopp’s side had to withstand pressure against the Italian champions but the two second-half goals mean Liverpool are well placed to reach the quarter-finals.

Uh oh, here comes the “He deserves a super eagles call up” people. And this guy igbo so you know he’s gonna be blown out of proportion and get called up. Thats what happened to Oneyeka with fc mitjiland. Team crashed out of the champions league, but now he is a regular.
Chukwubuike Adamu.
Igbo and Hausa name combined. Unique.
Austria don cap am, sharp sharp. They did not waste any time.
They capped him on November 12, 2021, in a world cup qualifier against Israel.
The interesting thing is that Adamu was actually born in Nigeria, in Kano.
While Nigeria was looking, Austria don cash cheque.
Okafor too has been capped by Switzerland. They jumped on him like a hungry lion jumps on an antelope.
Germany also did not waste time in capping Adeyemi.
Nigeria nko? Taking forever to cap Calvin Bassey. Numerous players switches still pending.
Pompei, my brother, Nigeria is busy chasing and capping old tired legs like musa and Ighalo.if u confront them with stats and facts they will justify with some ridiculous answers for their failure. Only country in the world losing average of two to three players every year to different countries in the last five years, due to corruption, negligence, sentiments, ineptitude.A failed state in all ramifications.
@Sunnyb thank you my brother I am in the process of trying to drum some sense into @MONKEY POST regarding this matter on another article thread. Anyway God Knows best. Justice must prevail especially in the case of MUSA. The guy really has no business in Super Eagles any longer Let alone Captain!! It has really become a JOKE!
