Mateo Kovacic says history shows Chelsea can upset Real Madrid at the Bernabeu on Tuesday night.
The Blues are down 3-1 after the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final.
But Kovacic is drawing inspiration from past European comebacks, both from Real and Chelsea.
“There have been many comebacks and I was included in one!” Kovacic told a pre-match press conference.
“In the 2015/16 season, we [Real Madrid] lost the first game 2-0 at Wolfsburg and we came to the Bernabeu and we won 3-0.
“I also saw the other day the game when Chelsea played against Napoli. We lost 3-1 at Napoli and at Stamford Bridge we came back [to win 5-4]. Football is always surprising, and of course we need to be ready more than 100 per cent to be able to complete a comeback.”

Does he Believe in what he wishes. This is a typical example of ‘if wishes were horses, the lamed or crippled will ride.’ If wishes were football, all teams who loss at home will win their away matches to balance things.
I said it that Benzema is the hottest striker for this 2021/22 season and that he will destroy Chelsea 3-0. I mispredicted, it ended 3-1. This time, Chelsea has nothing to loss and so the pressure will be on Real Madrid to defend their 2 goals lead. There’s no away goal advantage in Europe [unlike underdeveloped Africa]. Real Madrid will do both. They are not known to defend defend defend. They’re known to do both. Attack and defend together. This is where Chelsea should seek for a draw. But if they want to level the 2 goals deficit, 1 predict 5-0 Real Madrid win. Complete sport should send this advice to Chelsea. The Brazilians, the french, the croatian, the Germans will finish an already dead animal.
Its not true , you will be surprised the kind of Chelsea that will play at Madrid, All I know is that Madrid won’t beat Chelsea just watch out.
