Norwich City have reportedly moved into pole position to sign Motherwell midfielder David Turnbull. Scottish champions Celtic looked to be on the verge of signing Turnbull after a £3million bid was accepted, but both parties were unable to agree a suitable package and a switch to Parkhead now appears to be off.
With the Bhoys left frustrated by the situation, it is now claimed last season’s Championship winners Norwich are ready to steal in and talks over a move to Carrow Road are expected on Wednesday. The Canaries are believed to have had a £3m bid accepted by the Steelmen and he is set to become the club’s second summer signing following their return to England’s top flight.
Daniel Farke has already acquired the services of Manchester City’s Patrick Roberts on a season-long loan and he could soon be joined by another new arrival in Norfolk. Turnbull, who scored 15 goals from 30 league appearances last season, is said to be keen on a move to the Premier League.
