Arda Güler marked his debut in the European Championship with a stunning goal to help Turkey beat Georgia 3-1 in their Group F opening game on Tuesday.
Guler put Turkey 2-1 ahead in the 65th minute with a long range left-foot strike.
The Real Madrid youngster is now the first teenager to score on his Euros debut since Cristiano Ronaldo in 2004.
Ronaldo was on target in his first European Championship game on home soil as he got Portugal’s goal in their 2-1 loss to Greece.
In Tuesday’s game, Guler featured for 79 minutes completed 38/41 passes, created five chances, and won four of his duels.
