Dutch great Marco van Basten has advised Hakim Ziyech to leave Chelsea if he must actualize his dream as a footballer.
Van Basten stated this in an interview with Ziggo Sport, where he believed the Moroccan international has been underutilized by the Blues coach, Thomas Tuchel.
Recall that Ziyech came on the 74th minute for Christian Pulisic in Chelsea’s 1-0 win against West Ham in Sunday’s Premier League.
However, van Basten said: “Ziyech again on the bench. When he gets in, that’s like a striker. He can do that too because he is just a good player. I am sad to see. Rotating … He’s just not in the right place.
“That (Timo) Werner plays really badly, but doesn’t he come in much more often? The system this trainer plays is just not good for Ziyech.
“Then as Ziyech you have to say: ‘You know what? I have to beg’.”
