Nigeria defender William Troost-Ekong looks set to return to action for Udinese in Sunday’s Serie A clash against Empoli, at the Dacia Arena, Completesports.com reports.
Troost-Ekong missed Udinese’s 1-1 away draw against AC Milan on Tuesday at the Giuseppe Meaza Stadium due to injury.
It was the first time the Nigeria international missed a league game for Udinese this season following his summer arrival at the club.
The centre-back has however allayed fears on the severity of the injury after posting a picture of himself and some of his teammates in training ahead of Sunday’s game against Empoli.

“Hard work continues. All concentrated on Sunday. #ForzaUdinese,” Troost-Ekong tweeted.
Troost-Ekong has featured in 28 Serie A league games for Udinese this season but is yet to find the back of the net. He has received yellow card thrice.
Udinese occupy 16th position in the Serie A table with 29 points from 29 games.
