Kieran Trippier has thanked the Tottenham fans for their amazing support after completing his move to Atletico Madrid. Trippier completed his move from Tottenham to Atletico, with the England right-back passing his medical for his £21m move to the Spanish La Liga side.
The 28-year-old was England’s best player during their run to the World Cup semi-final last year, but that tournament may have taken a toll as he struggled for form and fitness for Spurs. Trippier spent four years at Tottenham with his last appearance for the club coming in the Champions League final defeat to Liverpool, and has thanked everyone for their support.
“THANK YOU. I’ve met some amazing people at @spursofficial many of whom I now call my friends,”Trippier wrote on Instagram. “To the Tottenham fans from around the world – you’ve been amazing. “The support you’ve shown me and the team took us to new heights, and with the new stadium I have no doubt that the team and fans have many exciting times ahead! ‘Wish everyone at the club nothing but the best. #spurs #thankyou”
