Wakefield Trinity have confirmed the signing of Morgan Escare on-loan from Wigan Warriors for the remainder of the season.
The 27-year-old made the move from Catalans Dragons to Wigan in 2017 but has struggled for gametime during the 2019 season.
He has turned out on just six occasions for the Lancashire outfit and was unlikely to be heavily involved in the final stages of the term.
Escare joins Wakefield, who are battling against relegation, and will be available for their final five matches of the campaign. The France international is he relishing the chance to get minutes under his belt and hopes to help Chris Chester’s side avoid dropping down to the Championship.
Escare told Wakefield’s official website: “I’m looking forward to getting some game time and helping Wakefield in the last five games.
“I’ve not played much this season at Wigan and I feel fresh and ready to go for Trinity. “Hopefully I get the chance this week to run out in front of the Trinity fans and give my all for the team.”
