Football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano has all but confirmed that Chelsea have completed the signing of Samuel Omorodion for a transfer fee within the range of £35 million.
“Samuel Omorodion to Chelsea, here we go! Deal in place for £35m as fixed fee from Atlético Madrid,”. Romano posted on his verified X account on Wednesday.
“Seven year contract for Omorodion at Chelsea, already agreed as he is set for medical tests.
“Bayer Leverkusen and more clubs tried to enter the race to sign the striker but Omorodion has decided to join Chelsea.”
Chelsea are poised to bolster their attacking options with the imminent signing of the Super Eagles-eligible striker from Atlético Madrid.
The Blues have agreed personal terms with the promising forward on a seven-year contract that will keep him at Stamford Bridge until June 2031.
A fee of £35 million has been settled with Atlético, paving the way for Omorodion’s move to West London.
The deal saw the light of day after the Spanish La Liga club moved closer to completing the acquisition of Julián Álvarez from Manchester City.
Chelsea have been in the market for a striker with the Blues heavily linked to Napoli’s Victor Osimhen all summer, however, Omorodion joining the Premier League side will be one for the future.

This is getting ridiculous. I dont know if john obi mikel or some Nigerian in the backroom staff telling the owner to sign players who have a Nigerian background, this is an overkill. This cements what I have been saying that Nigerians only know premier league and thats it.
These American owners need to stop buying players just to please english people. I know they dont know the game but football is a good business to be in especially since its the most popular sport in the world, there is a a lot of money in it. Shit they playing play copa america on big screens in las vegas. All these former players telling the chelsea, arsenal or man utd owner to buy certain players and they fall for it. And when the players are a bust they come bashing the american owners that they know nothing. This is inevitable
The olympics football is mediocre to fifa standards that they dont pay too much attention to it. Its literally an under 23 team with only 4 max senior players. With all the young french players on the main team the only one that rings a bell is olise playing right now. The main french players dont care, even mbappe. The french president tried to convince him to play in front of france.
So for chelsea to buy a player from what they seen in the olympics match with not much top players playing is a huge gamble and doesnt register any quality that this target can show
