Scotland head coach Gregor Townsend says he fully expects Greig Laidlaw to make on impact off the bench against Wales on Saturday.
Having started the last six Tests for the Scots, skipper Laidlaw finds himself on the bench for the arrival of the unbeaten Welsh to Murrayfield this weekend.
Glasgow Warriors star Ali Price has been given the chance to impress at scrum-half, having helped Scotland secure their last win over Wales in Edinburgh back in 2017.
Townsend is looking forward to seeing Price in action and feels Laidlaw will have a big influence on the game in the latter stages of the contest, as the Scots hope to end a two-match losing streak.

“Greig, having started in our last six games, is a key member of our squad, although this week we have decided to utilise his leadership and experience off the bench,” Townsend explained.
“He is driven by a desire to win for his country and he should have an important role to play in the latter stages of the match.”
