Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Joshua Oluwayemi has been handed a late call-up for Nigeria’s international friendly against Mexico, reports Completesports.com.
Oluwayemi, 20, was promoted to Tottenham’s first team at the end last season by Jose Mourinho.
The Nigeria Football Federation has already made contact with Spurs to secure his release for the friendly on short notice following Ikechukwu Ezenwa’s injury.

I hope our coaches won’t be so daft not to cap him immediately. Even if it for 5 minutes. We lost the opportunity to do that with eze.
@christian just be rest assured that he will not be capped….the coaches there will all be struggling to expose their players(candidates)…. Nepotism has killed Nigeria….Rhor invited Eze to the London get together because he knew about his talent and his scouts have watched eze closely many times before that time but at times Rhor listens too much to the Nigerian coaches around him not knowing that Nigerian coaches are 5 percent logic 95 percent stomach….. Nigeria doesn’t believe in merit especially at the grassroots….This goal keeper from Tottenham will be by far the best goalkeeper in camp but he won’t see a second of game time just watch….How else can you explain a midfielder like Eze came to your camp and trained with you for almost a week and you couldn’t notice anything special in him but went ahead to cap a midfielder like shehu abdulahi 5 times after the camp ahead of him.
The caping won’t count I guess. The friendly is outside FIFA calendar as such no ranking
If the person called up don’t play, the cap wont count. Fifa ranking still moves if you play friendlies and goals still count too
Lol..Aigbogun that I know do favours home base more.. Unless you people have forgotten last under 20
