Former Nigeria midfielder, Garba Lawal believes Super Eagles forward, Kelechi Iheanacho may become a toast for most clubs in Europe if he continues with his goal-scoring exploits with Leicester City.
The Nigerian international was the star of last night’s FA Cup game between Leicester City and Southampton, where he scored the solitary that qualified the team to the final.
Reacting to his goal-scoring form, ‘Chindo’ as he was fondly regarded during his playing days, told a Lagos-based radio station during an interview that the former Man City star is gradually coming back to his right element.
“It’s a very good development because for the past month Kelechi has come back to his right element although he has not really gotten to his real element because he is the type of player that scores 5, 6 goals in training sessions even in friendly matches.
“So I believe the boy is coming back to his right element and I believe in the nearest future, most of the big teams will even try to come for him.”

Thats if man city dont activate their buy back clause which was inserted in his contract when signing for Leicester according to reports. He is a proven goal scorer and man city need one. Hope Leicester qualifies for the CL and iheanacho stays on not as a bench warmer or back up but as part of the first 11. A starter!
Vardy’s contributions to Nacho’s good fortune have been immense. His last goal against Southampton is a case in point. Vardy received a ball on the left flank, sold his marker a dummy, ran several yards with the ball right into the box, then found Nacho with a pin point cross. It took two bites of the cherry, but Nacho eventually made the net shake.
Nacho has really profited a lot from Vardy’s abilities in recent times. And Nacho continues to provide Vardy with many opportunities as well.
Let’s hope both players remain in form and injury free. This symbiotic relationship, long may it continue!
Its is very wise of Rodgers to make vardy hug the flanks and for iheanacho to play more central. The reverse would have been the case but vardy isnt as prolific as he used to be. Iheanacho is the main man now interms of goal scoring and so he should be the one the ball should be played to. He also has the ability to find other players in better position. Chelsea wont be easy to take down though. They have to play with every thing they have if they are to win the fa cup. But right now its cl qualification they should worry about. Kelechi keep scoring goals!!!
