Can we now see all the local content we talk about?
All I have been seeing since yesterday is crash outs and looses from the very talented local contents. It is well, our performances are the reflection of the country.
In most sports our athletics are not Olympic class… You think these other super nations play with global sports Fiestas? Even South Africa is far ahead of us in global sports… Watch China training their young gymnasts from ages of 6yrs in preparation for Olympic games career and you will be frightened…
Over to you the local content criers. Make una come carry them back o… Before tomorrow na so all of them go crash out. Just unnecessarily wasting tax payers money. Local content my ass. The football wey be we for dy use get hope, dem local content coaches steered our ship into danm rocks. I guess, u local content criers are enjoying the ride at home with none of our football teams to cheer on or brag about. Na so e go be when rohr leaves the stage. Miserable fellows.
I dont agree with you though.Are you saying we should abandon all athletes in nigeria and pick only foreign born athletes…Other countries picking their local athletes definitely did something we are not doing…Its actually a shame a so-called giant go africa go about scouting for athletes trained by other countries…That is why no foreign country would allow athletes who they groom go easily, especially if they are the very best in what they do…Very soon we would hear of athletes winning medals for another country and we would start celebrating because they have nigerian roots which some of them may not even acknowledge…I think i would agree with jimmyball,if we are not decieving ourselves and we want to start winning lots of medals,lets set our sight on maybe the next 4 edition of the olympics,and start grooming the athletes now at a very young age or take the easy route out as always and start looking for anybody with a nigerian root to represent us at the last minute… remember some of our athletes were disqualified for a very lame reason before the games started…i hope we start getting it right soon,so that this foreign trained athletes will come begging to represent their father land and not the other way round….
To be honest, I can’t wait for Rohr to finish his contract n leave, so I can focus on better things away from Nigeria.
@Glory, me too…
