Nigerian Rower Esther Toko finished the rowing event on high at the ongoing Tokyo Olympic Games in Japan.
Toko, who was already out of the medals consideration after failing to qualify for the quarterfinals in her first two races in the women’s singles sculls rowing event, showed some glimpse of what to expect in the future as she finished 08:42.78 on Friday in the concluding event.

Recall that she came into the Games as TeamNigeria’s first-ever home-based athlete in Rowing and has given a good account of herself throughout the games.
Toko will now take part in Saturday’s repechage 2 at the same venue.
