Everton are reported to be leading the race to sign Benfica right-back Andre Almeida, who is wanted by a host of clubs.
The 28-year-old has been one of the star performers for the Portuguese side this season as they went on to claim the Primeira League title, and his performances have caught the eye.

Almeida provided 12 assists and scored two goals from right-back, so it comes as no surprise to see a number of Premier League clubs chase his signature. Leicester, Southampton and Brighton have all been linked, but reports claim that Toffees boss Marco Silva is in the box seat to do a deal due to his Portuguese nationality.
The player is also said to be available for a bargain £10million and Silva is keen to get a deal done quickly with so much interest around.
