Meanwhile, Osimhen has the chance to stretch his lead in the golden boot race if he score in Napoli’s away tie against Bologna later today (Sunday, May 28).
He has already set the record for the highest-scoring African player ever in the Italian Serie A with 47 goals, overtaking the legendary George Weah.
Also, he broke Samuel Eto’o’s record as the African with the highest tally in a season, when he scored goal that clinched the title in Napoli’s 1-1 draw at Udinese.
The goal against Udinese saw Osimhen net his 22nd this season to overtake Eto’o who bagged 21 in the 2010/11 league campaign.

All eyes on Osimhen. Meanwhile, how many more league matches remaining
?
One more after today. Meanwhile Victor got himself a brace so am excellent response to Martinez. Victor leads the chart by 4 goals heading into the final round of matches
Your Lordship, Martinez can still catch up with Osihmen. For Nigeria, Awoniyi is superior to Osihmen.
Mr Akanlo Ede, Do u have beef with Osimhen?? Who’s Awoniyi?? Lolz.. superior indeed. Anyways like Lord Amo said, Martinez will have to score at least 4 goals in d last game to beat Osimhen. So if u believe he can still beat Osimhen, den u are just unnecessarily hating. His brace against Bologna already sealed it bro.
@ Akanlo Ede, what metric did you use to arrive at this conclusion?? Awoniyi is a decent striker but he is not in the league of Osimhen.
Of course Osimhen and Awoniyi play in different leagues. One plays in Italy, the plays in England. Lol
Honestly, I quite agree with you. Super Eagles game play and style suits Awoniyi better.
That’s why Awoniyi excelled in the youth teams and only stalled in the SE when the then coach played ultra defensive game style. Osimehn thrives more in space and counter attacks suit him.
Awioniyi thrives more in ball possessive style of play.
Under Poseiro who is pro attacking, Awoniyi would do far better, ceteris paribus.
…Lautaro cannot catch the Super Negro capocannonieri. Forgerrit.
Osimhen will prevail. He did a great job since d inception of this season.
