Black Queens of Ghana have qualified for the 2024 CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.
The Black Queens lost 1-0 away to Namibia in the playoff second leg but advance 3-2 on aggregate.
It is a return to the WAFCON for the Black Queens after last featuring in the tournament at the 2018 edition which they hosted.

They failed to make it to the WAFCON 2022 in Morocco after being eliminated in the qualifiers by Nigeria’s Super Falcons.
This will be their 11th appearance at the competition since it’s inception in 1998.
Also, the Ghanaian senior women’s national team has finished runners-up three times and third place also three times.
So far, champions Banyana Banyana of South Africa, Botswana and Algeria have qualified for next year’s WAFCON.
