The 23-year-old has contributed with bat and ball, taking 20 wickets in 14 appearances, scoring 185 runs in nine innings.
The Sixers have clearly been impressed by the Surrey man and have handed him a three-year contract.
Fellow England international Joe Denly said: “No one works harder on their game than Tom. “I think he’s only going to get better, which is great for the Sydney Sixers and great for England”.
The England international is unavailable for their semi-final clash with Melbourne Renegades on February 15 after being selected for the one-day series against West Indies.
