Super Eagles defender Chidozie Awaziem was an unused substitute for Alanyaspor who edged 10-man Yeni Malatyaspor 2-1 in the Turkish Super Lig on Sunday.
Prior to Sunday’s game, Alanyaspor had lost their last four games but bounced back against Malatyaspor to end the poor run.
Awaziem has made 16 appearances and has scored just one goal for Alanyaspor this season.
The win saw Alanyaspor remain in fifth place on 55 points in the 20-team Turkish topflight standing with three games left to play.
They are five points from fourth, which is the Europa Conference League spot currently occupied by Istanbul Basaksehir.
Malatyaspor were reduced to 10 men in the 23rd minute following a straight red card shown to Kenan Ozer.

Alanyaspor drew level on 65 minutes thanks to Daniel Candeias before Oguz Aydin for the winner just two minutes later after the equalizer.
Awaziem and his Alanyaspor teammates can end the season on a high as they are in the semi-final of the Turkish Cup.
But they will have to do it the hard way after losing the first leg 2-1 at home to Sivasspor.
The return leg is billed for Wednesday, 11 May.
Meanwhile, Anthony Nwakaeme’s Trabzonspor were crowned Turkish Super Lig champions on Saturday.
It was their first league title in 38 years (Last win it in 1984) and their seventh in their history.
For Nwakaeme, he has now won four league titles in his professional career, picking three titles during his time at Israeli club Hapoel Beer Sheva.
Just like Awaziem, Nwakaeme’s Trabzonspor are in the semi-final of the Turkish Cup and hold a 1-0 first leg win against Kayserispor.
They will be guests to Kayserispor in the reverse fixture which will come up on May 10.
