Saarbrücken, who play in the German Bundesliga 3 (third division) handed a shock 2-1 defeat to visiting Bayern Munich in round 32 of the DFB Pokal on Wednesday night.
It is Bayern’s first defeat since they fell 3-0 to RB Leipzig in the German Super Cup in August.
Bayern paraded the likes of Manuel Neuer, Joshua Kimmich, Alphonso Davies, Jamal Musiala, Serge Gnabry, Leroy Sane, Thomas Muller and Kingsley Coman featured in the shock loss.

Muller gave Bayern the lead in the 16th minute but Patrick Sontheimer equalised for Saarbrücken one minute into first half added time.
Then in the 96th minute Marcel Gaus netted the winner to advance into the round of 16.
The last time Bayern lifted the DFB Pokal was in the 2019/2020 season, when they defeated Bayer Leverkusen 4-2 in the final.
