Josh Taylor will face IBF super-lightweight champion Ivan Baranchyk in his first world title fight in Glasgow on May 18.
The 28-year-old Edinburgh boxer is now undefeated in his last 13 bouts and booked his place in the semi-finals of the World Boxing Super Series courtesy of a seventh-round win over Ryan Martin in November.

It was reported earlier in the week that Baranchyk had pulled out of the Super Series, but the Belarusian champion has now performed a U-turn and will defend his IBF strap against Taylor at the SSE Hydro later in the year.
Taylor, who will secure a chance to add the WBA belt to the IBF title if he defeats Baranchyk and reaches the Super Series final, said: “It is a childhood dream to become a world champion. I am very confident I will win and do it in a good fashion.”
