Former Super Eagles left-back Taye Taiwo has been inducted into Olympique Marseille’s legends club.
Marseille confirmed Taiwo’s induction on their English X handle.
“Taye Taiwo is in the house tonight as the former Olympien and Super Eagle is inducted into the #OMLegends club ✨,” the club stated.
Taiwo helped Marseille win the Ligue 1 title, French League Cup, and French Super Cup.
The 39-year-old, made 271 appearances for the Ligue 1 giants between 2005 and 2011, scoring 25 goals with 23 assists,
He is one of only four Nigerians to have played for Marseille, alongside Wilson Oruma, Joseph Yobo and Victor Agali.
After spending six years at the club, he joined Serie A heavyweight AC Milan in 2011.
