Nigeria’s Super Falcons have moved up on the FIFA World Rankings from the 41st position to 39th, Completesports.com reports.
The latest ranking was released by the world soccer ruling body on Friday.
The Super Falcons completed a double over the Lady Elephants of Cote d’l voire last month which played a key role in their upward movement on the ranking.
The African champions also retained top spot on the continent. They are followed by Cameroon, Ghana and South Africa.
The United States of America are still the number one team in the world, with Sweden still in second position, France moved to third , Germany slipped to 4th while Netherlands are fifth.
The next FIFA/Coca-Cola Women’s World Ranking will be published on 17 June 2022.

More cheering news for Nigerian women’s football in what has been a wonderful March in this spectrum.
The ladies’ game is surely moving in the right direction.
Just for the Falconets to do the business against Senegal in tomorrow’s qualifier so as to rubber stamp their participation at the World Cup later in the year and cap off a fabulous passage of time.
Nobody is talking about the Falconets’ match tomorrow as it has been overshadowed by this evening’s titanic clash against Ghana.
Next stop will then be for the Falcons to trade blows with Canada in the double header friendlies bill for early April where I have no doubt that they will continue to do the nation proud.
Great news;
Even more happy with upward trajectory of our female side.
Hopefully we keep taking the right steps and fortify.
It can only get better.
Using this opportunity to wish the Super Eagles the best tonight.
Positive expectation.
Kudos ladies
