Ashleigh Plumptre scored her first goal in the English Women’s Super League this season, as Leicester thrashed visiting West Ham United 3-0 on Sunday.
It is a huge win for Leicester who gave their hopes of Women’s Super League survival a huge boost.
After Natasha Flint opened scoring for Leicester Plumptre made it 2-0 in the 9th minute after rising highest to head home a set piece.

Freya Gregory touched home a Shannon O’Brien cross from close range to seal the points not long after the interval.
Promoted Leicester began Sunday second from bottom but victory lifted them to 10th on 12 points with an eight-point cushion over bottom side Birmingham City.
Plumptre was included in the Super Falcons provisional 35-player squad for the Morocco 2022 Women’s AFCON qualifiers against Côte d’Ivoire.
The Falcons will host Cote d’Ivoire at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja on February 18 and the reverse fixture will hold five days later at Stade Robert Champroux, Abidjan.
