Nigeria and Lazio midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru was involved in a car accident near Bracciano, Italy, on Saturday evening.
According to Radiosei, Dele-Bashiru emerged without any serious injury from the incident just two days before Lazio’s 6-0 defeat to Inter Milan.
It was reported that Dele-Bashiru was driving his Lamborghini in a high-traffic area when the accident happened, and authorities responded swiftly, conducting thorough investigations at the scene.
The vehicle sustained significant damage, but there were no injuries or lasting physical concerns for the Nigerian international.
It was gathered that following the accident, Dele-Bashiru contacted his Dutch teammate Noslin, who arrived to pick him up and take him home.
While the authorities completed their checks late into the night, the midfielder did not require hospital treatment.
Despite the incident, Dele-Bashiru reported for training on Sunday morning under the supervision of Lazio head coach Marco Baroni.
On Monday night, he was named on the bench for Lazio’s home clash against Inter Milan, coming on in the 57th minute to replace Spanish winger Pedro.
The news of the accident, initially kept under wraps, gained traction on social media after being reported by Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport as per Radiosei.
