Super Eagles will begin their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign against the Barea of Madagascar, Completesports.com reports.
The Matchday One encounter is scheduled to take place at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, on Wednesday, September 23.
Eric Chelle’s side will then travel to Morocco for their second qualifying fixture against the Djurtus of Guinea-Bissau on Sunday, September 27.
The Taifa Stars of Tanzania complete the four-team qualifying group.

Nigeria will head into the qualifiers as strong favourites to secure top spot, given their pedigree and impressive history in African football.
The three-time African champions finished third at the last edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, which was hosted by Morocco.
Chelle’s men were last in action in June when they faced Portugal in an international friendly.
The Super Eagles will be hoping to make a strong start to their qualifying campaign with maximum points against Madagascar in Uyo before turning their attention to the clash with Guinea-Bissau.

Now that the corrupt, “pay and play”, envelope chasing NFF Onigbese officials are gone, Chelle finally has the breathing room he needs to select the very best players that fit his game project.
NFF Ajewomasan is gone for good. Great situation for Chelle and Nigeria fans.
There is no more pressure to select certain players with “God Fathers”. No more brown envelopes. No more “Roger”. No more “come and see me”.
Hopefully, Chelle’s salary will now be paid consistently and on time.
Also, SE players no longer have to complain about match bonuses, because it will be paid immediately it is due.
This is what we need to motivate the coaches and players and get the maximum performance out of them.
I expect that Chelle will now select a killer squad. A squad that will produce good football and score a truckload of goals. Yes, we need goals, goals, goals!!!
