The Super Eagles Hotel la Rabidou camp in Garoua came alive on Wednesday with the visit of Central Bank Governor Godwin Emefiele as well as business moguls, Femi Otedola and Aliko Dangote.
The trio visited the team’s camp at lunchtime along with president of Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pelvin Pinnick.
Otedola and Dangote rained dollars on the Super Eagles following their impressive performance at the ongoing 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
Emefiele briefed the players and the technical crew on the objectives of the Coalition Against Covid-19.
The coalition is a private sector-led organization in Nigeria established to assist government in combating the Coronavirus disease in the country.
Emefiele, Dangote and Herbert Wigwe are the key people behind the coalition.
It would be recalled that Otedola and Dangote also rained dollars on the Super Eagles during the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
Austine Eguavoen’s side won all three group games at the 2021 AFCON finals in Cameroon.

Very Good.
Proudly Nigerians.
I am proud to be a Nigeria.
Nigerian, but Algeria the so called favorite didn’t score a goal in this tournament yet and they not looking likely to score against ivory coast
At last a goal from our reigning champions, but it would have been better if they had broken Italy’s record of unbeaten matches it only remain three matches
Is time for us to become no 1 in Africa.
By winning three group games?
it’s nice to show love towards the player, but I think they should let them concentrate, you can gift them after the tournament. please don’t distract super Eagles
You have said it all broda
Succinct!
Hope the NFF are able to brief Otedola and Dangote on GENERAL ROHR’S outstanding salaries so they (Aliko and Dangote can help out if they(NFF) are so broke to settle him(rohr.
Monkey,
If left for you and other Rohr supporters, the clueless coach would have been the one to coach Super Eagles in this ongoing afcon and the team would have been a mess beating by Jack and Harry in Africa. But thank God that NFF listen to football loving Nigerians and did the needful.
Instead of you to hide your face in shame like others you still come to this platform to shout like monkey.
Nigeria would have gone far and been one of the developed countries in this world but people like you are still dragging the country backward with your backward mentality.
God bless Nigeria.
Bro I get that the guy hasn’t moved on from Rohr but I don’t see anything wrong with what he said. If NFF can’t pay Rohr his outstanding pay then it’s a big risk to Nigeria if FIFA gets involved. So bro there was no need for all the ramblings.
@Monkey Who informed you that gullible Rohr is still being owned a kobo as we speak? I have told you before, and l will say it again, move away from Rohr issue or you will be consumed by it.
The big fishes in the country has come to swallow the eagle in the pitch. Coach please be warned.
It would be great to let the players concentrate on achieving the best overall result and rewarding/celebrating them later.
Subsequent stages of the competition require even more focus, attention, dedication, the collective will to prevail and more technical imputs.
Well done compatriots!
Wonderful. May God bless the cheerful givers and the receivers.
Nice1.
Good news, it will encourage the lads to do more. Nigeria companies should join in the dollar rain as well.
Meanwhile, first 45mins, Ivory coast 2… Algeria 0…
Pls who knows where I can see the match? Hesgoal is too slow.
The so called favorite didn’t score a single goal in this tournament. In the beginning marhez said they would win I said this one belongs to Nigeria do you guys see am now write?. But they didn’t score a single goal even own goal lol
They are advocates of local content, that is why I like Dangote and Otedola. By the way, where is Orji Kalu in this dollar rain? That man always like to talk about football coaches.
No pictures with the team? A welcome idea by any standard.
Na waoh! Algeria don Dey carry their Ghana must go, Dey ready to waka oh!
Having watched a couple of games in this nations cup, I can say that Cameroun, CIV, Senegal, Nigeria and Morocco look like favorites to lift this cup. I am not writing off Egypt, A team who are perennial AFCON contenders and record winners of this competition, can’t be written off just like that.
Back to the topic of discussion, It is very good to motivate this players by appreciating their hard work to qualify with the most points in the group.
However, a lot of work is still left undone. This team needs to be more clinical in front of goal. Our Midfield looks decent and solid with Ndidi, I just pray he stays injury free but the defense needs to defend set pieces without causing us high BP and finally, I don’t know why but after watching Uzoho, I feel more comfortable having him in the goal, that doesn’t mean Maduka is not a good goalkeeper.
Sha, Super Eagles all the way..it is an AFCON of surprising upsets ..The Eagles should be wary of this.
Nigeria will win this afcon. This will be our fourth afcon cup.
Nigeria is progressing.
Thank God.
What kind of VAR nonsense is this, how on earth was that penalty against ivory coast valid, why didn’t VAR overrule that wrong call?
Pinik or what’s his name should fget talks on salary and other crap for now and let Eguavoen concentrate. Salute to Emefiele, Dangote, Otedola and others for their support, this is what is needed at this time!
Up Eagles!!!
@ Monkey post, go follow Rohr and stop making fracas here.
He his Rohr Capt !!..let him join his next national team cos we are done with him and he is now history!
@Highstar . Peterside had warned against distraction from politicians and money men. He advised that the largesse can be publicly announced without visits disrupting schedules of the squad. I agree with him.
External visits should stop. Let’s get to the final and win the trophy if we can. The Big Boys can use their photo ops afterwards.
Up Super Eagles.
Algeria coach used to laugh at Rohr. l guess he will be fired now. It is too early to rain money on the team for now. Let’s get the job done first before we start to spoil them with cash.
These politicians and business men should be stopped from distracting these players. The only place you see them is when our sports men are doing well. Dangote and his likes should do things to help the common man. Super eagles don’t need useless distraction now.
