The Super Eagles arrived Abuja on Friday afternoon from Cairo following their participation at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, Completesports.com reports.
Gernot Rohr’s men defeated the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia 1-0 on Wednesday to secure the bronze medal in the competition.
The Super Eagles – players and their officials, left the Cairo International Airport in the early hours of Friday morning and arrived the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport around noon.
The Eagles were welcomed on arrival by Secretary to the Federal Government, Boss Mustapha and other top dignitaries.
“We’re here! #SoarSuperEagles,” reads a tweet on the official Twitter handle of the Super Eagles.
“Big Thank you to our wonderful @NGRPresident His Excellency @MBuhari who was represented by the SGF and other top dignitaries for giving us a rousing welcome from Egypt. #SoarSuperEagles.”
