John Stones is the latest player at the Etihad reportedly being lined up for a contract extension by his Manchester City bosses.
The England central defender, who has three years left on his present deal, has seen many of his team-mates commit their long-term futures during the last year.
Raheem Sterling, Bernardo Silva, Gabriel Jesus, Aymeric Laporte and goalkeeper Ederson have all penned new terms despite having plenty of time left on their old agreements.
And now Stones, who has found himself in and out of Pep Guardiola’s starting line-up this season, mainly due to niggling injuries, will be asked to follow suit in the coming months.

The 24-year-old has enjoyed his time since joining City from Everton for £50m in 2016, playing a pivotal role in last season’s record 100-point Premier League title haul.
City feel the classy Barnsley-born star is maturing fast under the guidance of Guardiola and they will make sure his peak years remain in a blue shirt.
Stones is believed to earn around £130,000 per week and the Englishman can expect a hike as the Citizens continue to secure their younger stars.
