Sky Bet Championship club Stoke City are weighing up a move for John Mikel Obi, reports Completesports.com.
Mikel, 33, is currently a free agent after leaving Turkish Super Lig club Trabzonspor in March.
According to Stoke City Sentinel, Stoke City manager Michael O’Neil is keen on bringing in a holding midfielder and Mikel could be a leading contender.
West Bromich Albion, who will play in the Premier League next season following their promotion from the Championship- have also been credited with an interest in the midfielder.

Mikel was recently linked with a move to Braziian clubs Botafogo and Internacional.
A vastly experienced player with more than 350 appearances for Chelsea, he won multiple titles during his time with the Blues.
The former Super Eagles captain had a spell in China, before returning to sign for Middlesbrough in a short-term deal in 2019.
Mikel later linked up with Trabzonspor in Turkey.
