Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe will be without winger Junior Stanislas for Saturday’s battle with Southampton.
The 29-year-old will miss the rest of the season and could also miss the start of the 2019/20 campaign after undergoing an operation on his hamstring.
Stanislas faces four months on the sidelines and will now miss two consecutive pre-season campaigns after a knee injury derailed him 12 months ago.

When asked about the injury, Howe told reporters: “It’s a big blow for him, a big blow for us. It’s been a tough season for Junior, a lot of injuries, a lot of setbacks, a lot of disappointments, but he’ll come back stronger.” Howe remains without injured full-backs Adam Smith, Nathaniel Clyne, Diego Rico and Charlie Daniels as the Cherries try to bounce back from last week’s defeat to Fulham.
