Sporting Lagos defender Isaac Annor is in buoyant mood following the club’s maiden victory in the Nigeria Premier Football League.
Paul Offor’s side defeated Gombe United 2-0 in their first-ever NPFL game at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos on Monday night.
Rivio Ayemwenre scored the first goal of the encounter in the 42nd minute nodding home Jonathan Alukwu’s cross.
Substitute Odafe Clement added the second 19 minutes from time.

In a video posted on the Sporting Lagos X (formerly known as Twitter) handle, Annor expressed excitement with the victory.
“Thank you for coming out for our first game of the season. Thanks, we appreciate you guys. Let’s go Sporting.”
Annor previously played for Remo Stars and Djeffa FC before joining Sporting Lagos.
The Noisy Lagosians are currently second on the NPFL table with three points and a goal difference of plus two after matchday one.
Sporting Lagos will travel away to Akwa United for their game on Sunday.
