South Africa’s Bafana Bafana held Côte d’Ivoire to a 1-1 draw in a friendly game in Abidjan on Tuesday.
It was a much improved performance from Bafana Bafana who were held to a goalless draw at home by Eswatini on Friday.
While on Saturday, Côte d’Ivoire had been held to a 1-1 draw by Morocco.

South Africa opened the scoring in 9th minute through Themba Zwane.
Côte d’Ivoire equalised thanks to Sebastien Haller on 66 minutes.
Haller was also in target for the Ivorians in the draw against Morocco.
Both South Africa and Côte d’Ivoire will play the Super Eagles in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers and 2023 AFCON respectively.
