Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reportedly earning a ‘modest’ £45,000-per-week during his spell as Manchester United caretaker boss.
The Norwegian was happy to answer the call of his former club when they sacked Jose Mourinho back in late December, agreeing to take temporary charge for the remainder of the campaign.

However, it is believed United had to cut their financial cloth after they paid up the remainder of Mourinho’s contract, worth around £20m.
The Portuguese tactician also had a sizeable backroom staff which further resulted in the Red Devils’ board having to conclude a number of pay-offs.
Solskjaer is expected to earn around £1.2m up until the end of June, with a sizeable bonus also on offer if United do manage to secure a top-four finish in the Premier League, which seemed a remote possibility just a few weeks back.
The 45-year-old can certainly expect to earn considerably more if United do decide to offer their former striker the job on a permanent basis.
He is increasingly being seen as the frontrunner after bringing harmony back to the squad, which has already resulted in Anthony Martial and Chris Smalling agreeing new deals, having dragged their heels since last summer.
