The winner will be announced at Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane on Sunday, April 24.
Solanke, 24, who was born in England to Nigerian father and English mother, has made only one appearance for England in 2017, which still makes him eligible to switch international allegiance to Nigeria, if he so desires.

No switch abeg make ee dey were een dey enough of this amaju pininick scouting madness
Is not an AMAJU PINICK thing…
Is a thing of whether we will be NEEDING him..
For now the only PROVEN, SURE, TESTED and TRUSTED striker that we have is OSIMHE..
IGHALO will be LEAVING us soon
We saw how AWONIYI and LENGE LENGE were wasting CHANCES in the AFCON…
Plus we have now seen that AFRICAN FOOTBALL is too TOUGH for DENNIS…
Only LOOKMAN was able to GEL a bit…
So let’s use these FRIEDLIES to TEST new LEGS..
The SE need to go to AFCON 2023 in IVORY COAST with atleast 3 SURE STRIKERS like we had with the 2013 AFCON SQUAD in the likes of EMENIKE, B. IDEYE and IKE UCHE
And how many goals did your SURE STRIKERS combined scored in that 2013 AFCON?
YOU JUST LOVE to write NONSENSE all the time!
Nigeria crashed out at the second round of Cameroon 2022 and our 3 strikers all contributed a GOAL each with two of them contributing a further 2 assists!
AWONIYI 1 GOAL 1 ASSIST
IHEANACHO 1 GOAL 1 ASSIST
UMAR 1 GOAL
Can you please tell this house how many goals and assists your so called SURE STRIKERS managed in that competition?????
Till date there is no direct OVERWHELMING proof that OSIMHEN is more prolific than AWONIYI
He flopped in Germany where AWONIYI is thriving
Both of them did well in Belgium
It took OSIMHEN more than 3 matches to open his account with SE. In contrast AWONIYI needed only 2 matches to draw his first blood!
Let’s appreciate what we have and stop rubbishing our players.
It’s obvious what we need is a good coach
We saw what coaching does with KLOPP, XAVI, TUCHEL, PEP etc
A good coach would have easily navigated that GHANA hurdle effortlessly.
Why did it take us losing out of a spot at the latter stages of AFCON and QATAR before we realized how very poor ALLOY AGU was??
A poor goalkeeper in his time.
Now they are going for PASEIRO, another ROHR…. pathetic NFF!
@Mahmud Shuaib… I see now why some folks here think you are same person as me, because we reason in the same practical and objective way.
My brother @JIMMYBALL, if dem like let them hire their entire family members to come THUMBS me down…fact is fact!
I like to present my arguments with facts.
How can you talk about 2013 strikers as being prolific.
Even EMENIKE scored only 3 goals all competition. IDEYE had zero returns. IK UCHE…I doubt if he scored any too
Goals were from VICTOR MOSES, EMENIKE, MBA…
Non of the 3 strikers were as prolific as the 3 at CAMEROON in their entire club careers!
Thanks @OLUSEGUN for that sublime presentation.
Don’t mind those children who know nothing about football
Emenike scored 4 ideye scored 1 and the rest Moses Mba and Musa. The main cog of that team was Enyeama Mikel Onazi and Emenike. Our midfield was solid and we’re able to dominate opponents. Ideye was a great foil for Emenike allowing him to run behind defenders which is something Osimhen and Awoniyi does very well. I’m glad you agree that we need a better coach than your own that failed woefully. At this point I would even prefer a coach like Rohr to take up the reigns than any failed local content. Lmao!!
I believe Dominic Solanke will be a great addition to the Super Eagles as he is capable of playing as an attacking midfielder or striker. he was voted the Most Valuable Player a few years back when England won the World under 20 soccer title but is still eligible to play for Nigeria. i will advise the new Super Eagles coach to approach him with the help of the NFF. Also, Cyriel Dessers is currently playing well and has scored for Feyenoord in the Europa conference league after just two minutes against Sparta Prague who feature both Olayinka and Collins Sor (also Nigerians). Cyriel Dessers is a great player and I believe the Super Eagles can also do well with him added to the team.
Yes o my BROTHER we need him to ADD to OSIMHE who already gat GOOD stats with the SE couple with KELZ….
Might be NEEDING him Rather…
Depending on how he is ABLE to PROOVE himself with some FRIENDLY GAMES
As far as I’m concerned , there’s nothing wrong in having Solanke into the team . Besides there is no problem having any player born outside the country who is willing to play for the national team and this is not a Pinnock thing . Since the 80s , players born outside the land have been popping up from John Chirozie, Reuben Agboola, Efan Ekoku, George Abbey, Shola Ameobi etc .This era, we’ve got Leon Balogun ,Troost Ekong , Victor Moses , Cyriel Desserts, Ademola Lookman , Joe Aribo, Maduka Okoye , Ola Sina, Tyronne Ebuehi etc which is a great thing for the team . We be got materials . What were lacking at the moment is a technically sound coach who knows how to utilise these materials and turn them into world champions . Gernot Rohr and Austin Eguavon couldn’t even do so .
Alloy Agu as a goalkeeper coach didn’t improve on the materials he had . He’s done his best . So let’s see what Shorunmu can do with the keepers.
Also in the issue of strikers . Oshimen , Awoniyi, Umar, Dessers, Iheanacho,I believe they will do great
LMFAO!!!
With the way some MALU care so much about THUMBS DOWN and THUMBS UP or whatever whenever they want to drop a comment, it goes to SHOW that they are suffering from INFERIORITY COMPLEX
LMFAO!!!
And guys..If you want to know that someone is suffering from a MOTOR PARK TOUTISH SYNDROME, just drop a comment, you see the PERSON bringing your ENTIRE FAMILY that has nothing to do with the talk into it…
LMFAO!!
LMFAO! And who does that FOOL called JIMMYLIE thinks HE is FOOLING? You think dropping a COMMENT as MALU and then going back in SECONDS to CHANGE to another makes you SMART? LMFAO!!
LMFAO! The MR KNOW IT ALL in FOOTBALL says EMENIKE score 3 GOALS and IDEYE 0 GOALS in AFCON ’13.
Also indirectly OVERLOOKING all the WORK RATE of IKE UCHE and IDEYE especially IDEYE with his DEFENSE SPLITTING PASSES and one assist. Can’t forget the BACKHEEL PASS that CONTRIBUTED to one of the GOAL EMENIKE SCORED
SMH…
And the MR KNOW IT ALL forgot that EMENIKE and CO played against the likes of IVORY COAST (with DROGBA, TOURE etc in the SQUAD), MALI, BUKINA FASO and ZAMBIA and still came home with the TROPHY not against WEAK ASS TEAM like SUDAN, GB and you want to be FORMING PROLIFIC or SURE STRIKER…
LMFAO!!!
JimmyLie having another convo with himself. Again!!! Him and Mahmud Shuaib are one and the same person. No be schizo be that? JimmyLie, you urgently need a psychiatrist.
Looolz. Za Za Za!!!
LMFAO!!!
PABLO don’t mind that SICK SWINE
LMFAO!!!
Mahmud, you may have forgotten, but when you were using your JimmyBall ID, you mentioned all these things. How you were part of the Scotland 89 set but narrowly failed to make the cut. You also mentioned these players as players you trained with.
You have exposed yourself!
Lolz. Za Za Za!
It’s clear your problem is comprehension!
Did JIMMYBALL, who clearly is much more younger than me eber claimed to screen for GOLDEN EAGLETS in 1989?
Every one here who is objective and have some comprehension abilities know JIMMYBALL always speaks about LOBI STARS (who wasn’t called that in 1989. They were BBL HAWKS). Also JIMMYBALL writes about playing with some players at the national league level. I have never claimed anywhere that I played Club football. I was a youth prodigy in my own right who went to scree for Scotland 89 but failed in the North zone. I then got admitted to ABU Zaria.
So how is my ID same as JIMMYBALL when our history are in different time zone!
Only people in their 50s and probably late 40s who would have heard of most of the names Mentioned here.
Not only did we watch them play live as we travel to watch local league matches in the late 80s….but I also trained with some of them
Today anytime am in Kaduna, I keep fit either at Fifth Chuka Polo ground or Ranch Bees Stadium
Like I wrote yesterday in response to AYPHILLYDGREAT’S matured comments, please respond to me on the merits or demerits of my submissions and spare me this JIMMYBALL controversies. It’s taking away the shine from healthy debates and enriching of our football information and knowledge
Take care of yourselves young men!
LMFAO!!
PABLO are you responding to that FRAUD @MAHMUD?
