Samuel Chukwueze’s teammate Vicente Iborra carried him on his back so he could celebrate with his teammates after Villarreal knocked Arsenal out of the Europa League on Thursday night, reports Completesports.com.
The Nigeria international was stretchered off in the 29th minute with
what looked like a serious injury.
Chukwueze came close to scoring early in the game but was denied by Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno.
Villarreal held the Gunners to a 0-0 draw in the semi-final second leg tie and proceeded to the final 2-1 on aggregate.
Unai Emery’s side will face Manchester United who edged Roma 8-5 on aggregate in the final.
The final will be staged in Gdansk, Polland on Wednesday, May 26.
