Tennis World number one, Jannik Sinner, is set to face Daniil Medvedev in the 2024 US Open quarter-finals on Wednesday, September 3.
Sinner advanced to the quarter-finals after a hard-fought victory over Tommy Paul, winning 7-6(3), 7-6(5), 6-1 in their third-round match on Tuesday, September 2, at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York.

The Italian showcased some of his best tennis of the tournament, overcoming Paul in a tense match, much to the disappointment of the energetic crowd.
Earlier, on Monday, Russia’s Daniil Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, made a strong statement with a commanding 6-0, 6-1, 6-3 victory over Portugal’s Nuno Borges.
Sinner and Medvedev are now the only Grand Slam champions left in an increasingly unpredictable men’s singles draw.
Notably, Sinner came from two sets down to defeat Medvedev in the Australian Open final earlier this year.
