Nigeria winger Moses Simon has revealed he joined French Ligue 1 side, FC Nantes to further improve himself as a footballer, reports Completesports.com.
Simon linked up with Nantes on a one-year loan deal from LaLiga outfit, Levante last week.
Nantes have the option to sign him on a permanent transfer for €5m at the end of the season.
“I chose FC Nantes because I think I have a lot to learn here because there is a very competent coach [Christian Gourcuff],” the former KAA Gent of Belgium star told FC Nantes’ official website.
Simon also reveals that FC Nantes and Mali striker Kalifa Coulibaly influenced his decision to join the Ligue 1 club.
“My relationship with Kalifa Coulibaly is great, we met each other when we played at KAA Gent, it’s the first person I asked for information before signing, he told me good things and he did everything for me to sign here.”
Simon is in line to make his debut for Nantes in Saturday’s away trip to Amiens SC.

Nigeria has always been blessed with pacey wingers to which Moses Simon is no exception.
For all the disappointment that limited game-time in Levante brought him, Moses Simon was able to hone the defensive side of his game in Spain which came in handy for Nigeria at the recently concluded Afcon in Egypt.
For a player who continually wants to continually improve aspects of his, Moses Simon already sees the French club as a place that can offer this to him as he said : “I chose FC Nantes because I think I have a lot to learn here.”
I am looking forward to the Super Eagles winger playing in his more preferred forward role in France this season; he is sure to score more goals.
