Super Eagles winger Moses Simon was beaten to Nantes August Player of the Month award by the club’s goalkeeper Alban Lafont.
The 23-year-old Burkina Faso-born French shot stopper was announced as the winner on Nantes’ Twitter handle.
After the conclusion of votes by the club’s fans, Lafont polled 73 per cent to beat Simon and two others to the award.

Despite missing out on the award, Simon was impressive for his French outfit in August as he netted twice and made two assists in four Ligue 1 appearances.
However, he is currently down with injury while his club coach Antoine Kombouare earlier this week confirmed that the Nigerian international will be out of competitive football action for the next two.
Nantes will host Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain in today’s league clash.
While PSG top the league standings, Nantes currently occupy 10th spot on six points.
