Everton manager Marco Silva is certain that Ademola Lookman will enjoy an excellent career despite been restricted to just two Premier League starts in 12 league appearances this season.
Lookman was outstanding in his second league start of the season for Everton as they beat Bournemouth 2-0 last week.
The 21-year-old was arguably Everton’s biggest attacking threat providing the assist which allowed Dominic Calvert-Lewin to smash home the winning goal.
“He is a player with high quality and I have no doubt he will achieve very good things in his career – in the present and future if he keeps working this way.” Silva told Everton’s official website.
“He will improve more and more. I have believed in him since I joined the club. All the credit is to him.”
“I have worked hard with him. He is at a very good level.”
Lookman who could retain his place in Everton’s starting line-up when they take on Southampton on Saturday was also praised by his teammate Michael Keane.
“I think he’s got a lot of experienced players around him to talk to and give him advice,” Keane told Liverpool Echo.
“You can obviously see the quality he’s got in training and he’s had to be patient this year and wait for his chance.”
“He’s showed it in glimpses through the season but he’s a very talented player. He’s only going to learn and get better. The world’s his oyster if he keeps improving.”
