Everton boss Marco Silva has remained tight-lipped regarding Leighton Baines’ long-term future at Goodison Park.
The 34-year-old left-back has found himself down the pecking order with the Toffees this season, as signing Lucas Digne has established himself as first choice since his arrival from Barcelona.

Everton talisman Baines will see his current contract expire in the summer and Silva has remained coy over whether the club will look to extend the veteran’s stay.
“Leighton deserves all our respect, not just because he has been playing here for many years to a high quality, but for the professional he is,” Silva said.
“Even when he is not playing he is always there helping. I know his behaviour, even on the bench. “What the future is we will see at the right moment.”
