The former second vice-president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) was previously a consultant to the House of Representatives Sports committee.
The NSC, which had previously been dissolved, is now tasked with overseeing the country’s sports policies and administration, a role last undertaken by the Federal Ministry of Sports Development.
The change is part of a broader government effort to restructure and streamline sports management in Nigeria, with an emphasis on improving infrastructure, talent development, and international competitiveness.
