England legend Alan Shearer has backed Arsenal to get the three points against Leicester City at the Emirates this weekend.
Mikel Arteta’s men will return to league action when they entertain the Foxes who are yet to record a single win.
The Gunners will go into the game against Leicester on the back of a comfortable 5-1 win against Bolton in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.
Their last league tie saw a 10-man Arsenal side hold Manchester City to a 2-2 draw at the Etihad.
“I can’t see Arsenal being as defensive in this one as they were for the second half at the Etihad! It’d be a huge surprise if Leicester took a point back,” Shearer was quoted on Arsenal News Channel.
“I can’t see it happening with the form that Arsenal are in and the confidence and belief they’ll take from last week’s result. I won’t go with anything crazy, I just see a convincing home win.”
Meanwhile, Arsenal will welcome back Leandro Trossard, who got sent off against City after kicking the ball away despite referee Michael Oliver blowing for a foul against the Belgian.
