Xherdan Shaqiri expects to remain at Liverpool following reports he could be on the move again during the summer window. The Switzerland international joined Liverpool last summer from relegated Stoke in a £13.5million deal but after struggling for regular game time there has been talk he could leave the newly-crowned European champions.
Shaqiri has impressed when called upon as he started in the 4-0 win over Barcelona at Anfield in the Champions League semi-finals and managed six goals in 24 Premier League appearances, 11 of which were starts.

The 27-year-old was left on the bench for Saturday’s Champions League final win over Tottenham and it had been suggested Shaqiri could move on rather than accept a squad player role at Anfield, but he says he has no plans to leave Merseyside and hopes to help the Reds land the Premier League crown next season.
“Is this why I came to Liverpool? Yes,” said Shaqiri. “This club needs to win titles, and it’s a good start to win this one, no? Now next year we are going to go again and try to win the Premier League. “That’s my big dream, to win the Premier League with this club.”
He added: “We played such a good season, and we deserved to win at least one trophy. “Now we won the biggest title in Europe, it’s amazing. It doesn’t happen every day. “We are a very good team and we work hard together every day. I hope we can go on, this is just the start and we can win many more titles.”
