Sevilla manager Javier Pimienta has kind words for Kelechi Iheanacho after the forward’s impressive debut for club.
Iheanacho made a substitute appearance in the Rojiblancos 2-1 defeat to Villarreal on Friday night.
The Nigeria international replaced Isaac Romero in the 77th minute.
The former Manchester City player came close to hitting target late in the game.
“Perhaps he (Iheanacho) was the one who had the most problems because he played less time, but he moved very well in that difficult moment of the match and he had a very clear chance to score and the goalkeeper was able to stop that play,” Pimienta was quoted by Futbal Fantasy.
Iheanacho’s compatriot, Chidera Ejuke also featured in the game.
