Fulham winger Ryan Sessegnon would prefer to stay in England, with Tottenham wanting his signature, according to reports. The 18-year-old looks set to leave Craven Cottage following Fulham’s relegation back to the Championship after just one season.

Despite Fulham’s best hopes of keeping him for next season, the left-sided England youth international has just one year left on his contract, meaning Fulham may have to reluctantly cash in on him in the summer. He has been linked with several moves away from west London in his fledgeling career so far, with the likes of Borussia Dortmund, PSG and Juventus all thought to be keen on signing him.
However, the player has reportedly indicated he would prefer to stay in England to continue his development, putting Tottenham on red alert. Mauricio Pochettino has a history of developing young English talent and now they are rumoured to be interested in making a bid worth £25 million for Sessegnon, as Tottenham look to get back in the market following a spendthrift year.
Sessegnon, who has scored twice and made seven assists in 33 appearances in all competitions this season, is expected to be part of the England Under-21 squad for the European Under 21-Championship in Italy.
