What of the head injury? I hope it is not serious.
I don’t understand why anyone should celebrate Osimhen scoring against a poor team. It is only Nigeria we celebrated amateurism. Which other African nation will make a skinny striker like Osimhen their number 9? The same league where Simy is tearing apart that Osimhen is scoring just 8 goals. Rohr suppose drop Osimhen long time ago.
Osimhen started the season slow (injuries and covid19) he’s finally finding his place in the Napoli set up…..Gattusso is a big fan of Osimhen and I know he would make Victor an absolute goal machine by next season. Serie A is not ready for ‘Osimhen 2.0’ next season
Gattuso really needs to work on his front 3,behind Oshiemen, they seems too selfish to me and waste a lots of scoring chances.
Napoli will be great if they work together especially with their main striker, but all of them want to be on the scoresheet.
The 2 chances that was created for Victor were both converted by him, one was erroneous disqualified while the other stands before he was hauled out due to head injury.
If they can perfect this, they will be one of the dreaded sides in Italy.
@Ola,
In the light of what you just said, lemme mention something the commentator said during this match that struck me and it’s an absolute fact. “He said Liverpool is the only team in mainstream Europe with their wide players (Mane, Salah, Jota) having more goals than Napoli wide players (Insigne, Politano, Lozano)”. With this kind of statictics abi na data, how do you possibly think their main strikers (Firmino, Osihmen) can score a lot of goals when the wide players are themselves hunting for personal glory???
The coach who is going to take over from Gatuso (bcos i think ADL want him out already) really has a lot of work to do if he wants good returns from Osihmen
@coachie, yes that’s true, I heard the commentator said that too… The coach really need to work on this, unelse, how will the main striker deliver?
Head injury ?, God, smile on our victor. Preserve Our Osimhen as the Nation approaches the World-Cup matches which begin in few weeks time. Lord, Club & Country depend on Osimhan. Deliver him from all evils at this time. Amen.
Head injuries are not usually a worry in football because it most times doesn’t result in long lay off period for the affected player….it’s always precautional to substitute such player during the match in which the injury occured because it affects some players psychologically
Victor Osimhen is living up to expectations. 8 goals, needs two more for me to know that he adapted to serie a. He is fast and always leads the fast break, he just needs to be assisted, he is rarely offsides. He has been getting his goals from assist lately. The team is turning the corner, especially since Dres Mertens came back. The team was settled in 7th place, now they are moving between 3rd and 5th place. He almost had a second goal leading the attack but they called a foul on him. His movement in the game has been very good. He had the ability to get a brace in the game but was taken off due to bleeding head injury.
Big number 9, sadiq umar scored a brace yesterday to take hus tally to 20 goals for the season so far. He is still banging in the goals.
Osimhen has rediscovered his form and I see him scoring more goals if only his teammates will keep giving him the ball.
Goals galore! Hats off to Nigeria s goalscorers. Nobody tells us how the goalkeepers are fairing
