This lad is too hot to be ignored.
he is the reason why croton are one leg into serie A Next ahead of season.
keep the fire burning man!
God bless you.
Oga editor Crotone is not in serie A,
Just four games left and you guys will be a serie A class.Five points lead against 3rd placed Spezia is a good way to go but should keep the momentum going because this is a marathon not a sprint, otherwise dropped points at this stage can be regrettable.
You guys have worked your socks off to get to where you are now.If you continue to apply yourselves in the next couple of games to achieve maximum points, then your dreams of playing top flight football shall be a success.
Meanwhile,Simmy has taken his form to a level that he can’t be ignored by Rohr, and this is what a stern competition brings to a team.If he ends up scoring a few more goals,he could end up playing for a bigger team in Italy than Crotone.
By now grade A teams from western Europe should be running after simmy. Going down with the team and now on a return to seria A is a great achievement. With the present situation simmy will be the highest goal scorer in seria B. The other contenders are stuck and their teams are battling for survival.perugia etc. Now simmy”s manager shud get better offers from top teams . . With this credential . It will not be good to again come back to lower division after next season. And to rohr Qatar world cup winning shud be ur target. Not qualification . Though u have to qualify. To win.
Simy with a move that Dennis Bergkamp would have been proud of @ 1:10, and a nice finish.

Such a silky tight skillful finish from a tall lad!
One thing I notice about him is that he’s a very skillful striker. I think he was only unfortunate to miss out on the AFCON team as that would’ve been the best chance for him to really assert himself in the SuperEagles set up. Now it’s looking more inevitable that he can’t be ignored in our upcoming fixtures in what is by far the most competitive top strikers spot for any African team. Simy, Dessers, Osimhen, Iheanacho(though I feel he could play more as a right sided forward which could mean Chukwueze starting from the bench) Maja, Akpom, Kayode, Onuachu, Olayinya all on the outside looking to pounce on any opportunity if they can take it once given. It’s really a massive headache to have about ten really good strikers for only two or three spots in a 23 man squad. #FLY LIKE AN EAGLE INTO THE FUTURE#
Hehehehe…you forgot to include Omo9ja’s Fatai Alashe who has 11 goals and 22 yellow cards in 5 seasons….LMAO
Lmao!!! Fatai Alashe indeed. When even a Sadiq Umar is still on the outside looking in. Omo9ja is the comedian of the forum. Chief Zebrudaya okorigbogbogbo alias 4:30. Lmao!!!
Ayphillydegreat, which one be OKORIGBOGBOGBO? Lol! The name long sha. Those of us (plus including my humble self) that are not Igbos are always going to struggle with that one. It is actually OKORO-IGWE-NWOGBO, if I’m not mistaken. Chief Zebu is definitely one of my favorite Nigerian comedians ever. Are you are.
Kudos also to Ovularia, Giringory, Clarus, Jegede Sokoya and other members of the show 🙂 🙂 🙂
Oga rohr, it’ll be a great disservice to this guy and many super eagles fans the world over if you do not include this guy in your next list. He’s done everything to justify his inclusion and not only being included but playing an active role in the team. You have to use him this time around, he’s not a bench material. At least with him teaming up with osimhen as our 2 point men would be a great feat. It cannot get any better than this and para venture ighalo comes back, mehn, we gonna be a nightmare to any team that faces us.
Gradually…talk is shifting away from dessers and Sadiq. We have..
*Osimhen
*Dessers
*Iheanacho
*Sadiq
*Simy
*Onuachu
*Dennis
And we are to choose two point men.
If you are Rohr…which players will you choose from this list?
Remember, the wings are full already with different players e.g..
Kalu, Chukwueze, Musa(the captain),Moses Simon, Iwobi(likely when Ejaria comes), Bazee etc
I don’t envy Rohr at all. This is because any 2 he chooses, people we complain when they see the caliber left behind. In the last Afcon he took 3 Strikers, So he should be able to pick 3. But before then if he has the opportunity to play at least 2 friendly matches. Then he should be able to use the following : Osimhen, Kelechi, Dessers,Simmy and Sadiq. I feel these 5 can not be left out. Picking any 3 for each friendly match. Then in a competitive match chose his best 3.
My own 3 if I’m the coach is Osimhen, Dessers and any of Simmy or Sadiq.
But based on current form Any of Osimhen, Kelechi, Dessers, Simmy and Sadiqu is good enough for the Eagles. Even Nwakeme is also among the hot strikers this season but since he is over 30, I think we are leave him out.
Plus Olayinka and Ighalo (if and if he returns)…making 9 capable centre forwards. Unfortunately apart from Iheanacho and Odion, they are all new in the team (mostly less than 10 caps) meaning they all need a good run of games (at least 3-5 games) to prove themselves and blend with their playing partners on the pitch. We cant have more than 2 in the team per-time and 4 going into a major championship. Osimhen has somehow taken one of those slots, remaining 1 slot for game day and 3 for major tournament. How many zero or low stake games do we get to play in a year in order to experiment with everyone…? We fans may just have to resign to the fact that not everyone will eventually be in the team at the end of the day. Just hoping it will not end up being a case of too many cooks/ingredients spoiling the soup at the end of the day.
That’s why I was thinking that Ighalo should stay resigned, but then his incredible runs in ManU has made him a forceful candidate. Won’t we be doing ourselves a disservice to shut the doors at him?
@drey, That’s my point! 2 weeks ago, it was sadiq, Last week, Iheanacho, this week again, Simy some even complained of not inviting a guy from Red bull reserve team.
The truth is apart from Osimhen, we have to support any striker picked among the rest and the person on my mind is Dessers. Unless he under perform which I doubt. We’ve seen simy played, same for iheanacho, Onuachu, Sadiq(Olympic)….so let’s see what dessers can offer before choosing the second to Osimhen.
@Sean…we are saying the same thing.
Personally I am and have always been of the opinion that a core should be maintained in every football team irrespective of what is happening outside. That core should only be tampered with If and only IF someone emerges from the blues with far superior value propositions to those in the core or if anyone in the core looses form.
But some people here blinded by their hatred for Rohr will keep harassing the coach for not inviting this jack here or this harry there as if real life football is like video games where you just plug in a new player into a team and play as normal. If we have to invite “these others” what do we do with the ones that are there…throw them away and start raising a new squad…? Some even assert that players like Awoniyi, Success, Umar who had seen some inconsistency in their game over the years should consistently have been invited to the team to ‘rehabilitate’ them ahead of others who had been consistent. It is not easy to teach a group of students a topic his week and then next week when you are supposed to move forward, you see another group in the class who weren’t present the previous week and then by the 3rd week another set different from the ones you taught in the previous weeks. So for those who want 11 different players every game because one new player is showing flashes of brilliance here and another is showing flashes of good luck there , they had better be careful what they wish for.
And that is where scouting comes in. In the absence of avalanche of test matches or friendlies to give all 9 centre forwards the need time to settle into the team and prove themselves, the onus is on the coach to scout these 9 strikers EXTENSIVELY to know which of them fits his philosophy and preferred style, so that once called up they will fit like Aribo into the team like they were built for the team.
We still have this dilemma on our hands, and them some will come from nowhere when they have nothing left to use against the coach to complain about home-based not getting invited….invited to do what…??? Can there be more than 11 players on one team…? and 7 on the bench (or 12 in the case of a major tournament). Should they not be the best of the best representing the nation..? But whether anyone likes it or not, not everyone will get to play in this team. Its a sad reality but its a fact.
Osimhen is our best striker at the moment. The choice of the other striker is the only dilemma.
Simmy is hot at the moment, but would this same form remain when super eagles would resume playing football by November or so.. That’s what matters .
Don’t be surprised when other leagues resume, and simmy isn’t scoring so much goals for instance and players like iheancho and others pick form, no one would clamor for a simmy..
Let me retain this form, he should not be carried away with what the fans are saying, there is so much competition at the moment. In 3 months for now when we see other strikers, we would know the hottest to pick from.
